Sources & Fact Checking

ActuMedic uses a source-first approach for medical, emergency-care and EMS claims.

Preferred sources

  • government and public-health agencies;
  • national and international clinical guidelines;
  • professional medical and resuscitation organizations;
  • recognized EMS certification and regulatory bodies;
  • peer-reviewed research and systematic reviews;
  • major academic or public healthcare institutions.

How claims are checked

We compare key medical statements against appropriate primary or authoritative sources. High-risk topics such as chest pain, stroke, sepsis, anaphylaxis, pregnancy emergencies and altered consciousness receive particular attention to safety wording and emergency escalation advice.

What we avoid

We avoid presenting unverified anecdotes, social-media claims or commercial marketing materials as medical evidence. When evidence is uncertain or varies between systems, the article should say so.

Jurisdiction differences

EMS protocols are not universal. A technique or medication allowed in one jurisdiction may not be authorized in another. Professional readers should always verify local protocols.

Updates and corrections

Articles may be updated when new guidance becomes available or when a source is superseded. Material errors are corrected when identified.
